Who we are
Espaço Âncora is an online psychotherapy practice based in Porto, Portugal. The data controller is Marta Vilela Guimarães, a psychologist registered with the Portuguese Order of Psychologists (Cédula nº 5257). For any question about your data, write to [email protected].
What data we collect
We collect only the data needed to make contact and provide care:
- Contact details you share in the form or by email — name, email, preferred language and the content of your message;
- Information shared during sessions, including health data, handled under professional confidentiality;
- Minimal technical data logged by our hosting provider (such as IP address), for site security and operation.
How we use your data
- To respond to your enquiry and schedule sessions;
- To provide psychotherapy care;
- To meet legal obligations, in particular invoicing.
Legal basis
We process your data on the basis of pre-contractual steps and performance of the service contract, your consent (in particular for health data), compliance with legal obligations, and the legitimate interest of keeping the site secure.
Retention
We keep your data only for as long as needed for the purposes above. Clinical records and invoicing documents are kept for the periods required by law.
Sharing
We do not sell or trade your data. We use only the providers needed to run the service — site hosting (Cloudflare) and the video-call platform (Google Meet) — and may share data where required by law or a competent authority.
Cookies and tracking
This site uses no advertising cookies or tracking tools. Fonts are served by a privacy-friendly provider that does not log your IP for marketing. The contact form opens your own email client and stores no data on our servers.
Your rights
You may at any time exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability by writing to [email protected]. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Portuguese Data Protection Authority (CNPD — www.cnpd.pt).
This document sets out the general terms of the service. For any clarification, write to [email protected].
