Eighteen years working with children and young people. A clinical psychologist specialised in assessment, early intervention and psychotherapy — with particular sensitivity to children with special needs and at-risk situations.
Trained in Psychology at the Instituto Superior da Maia (ISMAI) and holds a Master's in Psychology — Specialisation in Child Education and Development from the University of Porto (FPCEUP). In 2012–2013 she completed a Postgraduate in Psychopathology and Psychotherapy with Children and Adolescents (Instituto Português de Psicologia).
Since 2016 she has worked at APPC Porto (Porto Association for Cerebral Palsy), where she assesses and supports children and young people with disabilities from the age of 8, focusing on participation in their everyday contexts. She also serves as a Commissioner at the Child and Youth Protection Commission of Gondomar — an area in which she intervenes in cases of social risk, separation, and parental responsibility regulation.
Specialist accredited by the Portuguese Order of Psychologists in Clinical and Health Psychology, with advanced specialties in Early Intervention and Special Educational Needs. Her practice brings together intellectual and emotional assessment, individual psychotherapy with children and adolescents, vocational guidance and parenting skills work.
She has a particular connection to artistic and body-based work — she co-facilitates the Oficina do Movimento group for young people with Cerebral Palsy at APPC Porto. Fluent in Portuguese, English and Spanish (C2). She works in Porto and Gondomar.
